Golf: Danville's Spencer McKinney wins Louisville junior tour event

Spencer McKinney of Danville won a two-day tournament on the Musselman-Dunne Golf Tour on Saturday, winning by six strokes in the 13-14 boys division at Long Run Golf Course in Louisville.
McKinney shot a final-round 76 after opening with a 73 on Friday to finish 5 over par.
Earlier last week, three Danville golfers finished in the top 25 in the first of national junior golf tournaments run by the PGA of America.
Playing at Kearney Hill Golf links in Lexington, J.B. Williams tied for 18th place with rounds of 76-78-71—225, Andrew McKinney (77-71-80—228) and Dakota Jarman (78-77-73—228) tied for 22nd.
The next opportunity for the local boys to qualify for the PGA's junior national championship in July is at a June 20-21 sectional qualifier in Bardstown.
