Marta Jean Bush-Pearson, 42, of Bradenton, Fla.,went to heaven on May 31.

Marta was born June 3, 1969, in Lexington, to Harold Glenn and  Georgia (Gilkey) Bush. She was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and has been a resident of Bradenton, Fla., since 1995.

She formerly worked in Manatee County, Fla., as a probation officer, and worked as a financial adviser. She also was a member of the Moose Lodge on Anna Maria, the American Legion of Riverview, Fla., The Bridge Church and did a 60 mile walk for the Susan B. Komen Foundation.

She was predeceased by her father, and her husband, Danny Mack Pearson.

She is survived by her mother, Georgia Bush of Lexington; and three brothers, Joseph H. (Nancy) Hendricks of Hartselle, Ala., Arthur A. (Blair) Bush and Glenn A. Bush, both of Lexington.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Scobee Funeral Home by Dr. Ed Mesta.
