Harrodsburg man arrested on assault charge
HARRODSBURG — A Harrodsburg man was arrested Sunday on an assault charge after he allegedly cut another man’s face by striking him with a beer bottle.
Anthony M. “Pig” Stigall, 32, was picked up on an outstanding warrant when police responded to a report of a disturbance on East Factory Street on Sunday and found Stigall there. Stigall was lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center on a charge of second-degree assault.
According to police, Stigall got into a fight with Jamin Blacketer near Old Fort Harrod State Park May 26 and struck him in the face with a bottle. Blacketer was taken to Haggin Hospital for treatment of multiple cuts to his face, police said.
A warrant was issued based on a criminal complaint filed by Blacketer. Harrodsburg Officer Anthony Wesley made the arrest.
