Two Georgia men were arrested Friday in connection to a Thursday shooting in Jessamine County.
According to a JSO news release, Mark J. Buckland, 45, of 8400 Zebulon Road, Macon, Ga.; and Michael N. Buckland, 36, 6659 Hwy 87, Macon, turned themselves in at the Jessamine County Detention Center around 8 a.m. Friday morning.
Both men were charged with two counts of criminal attempt to commit murder.
The arrests stem from a shooting that occurred around 1:20 p.m. Thursday at 728 Chinkapin Drive in Nicholasville.
"It appears the victim and a relative were leaving the neighborhood driving a pick-up truck, and as they approached the intersection of U.S. 68, (they) realized numerous shots were being fired at them," a release from the JSO stated.
Chief deputy Allen Peel said one person suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Apparently, the victim's pick-up truck was struck several times in the driver's side door causing the window to shatter, and the shards struck him in his left eye.
