Billy Lee Lawson, 77, of Winchester, husband for 42 years to Billie M. Smith Lawson, passed away Tuesday at his home.
A native of Lincoln County, he was born June 8, 1935, to the late Homer and Lena McKinney Lawson. He was a United States Marine and retired after 47 years from Square D Groupe Schneider.
Billy was an avid golfer and coached Little League football and baseball for several years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children and their spouses, Kenny (Glenda) Campbell of North Carolina, Rhonda (Paul) Manning of Morehead, and Mark (Tricia) Lawson of Estill County; and grandchildren, Cassandra (Levi) Bargoil, Kristopher Campbell, Keith Manning, Holly Lee Manning, Jazzy Manning, Courtney Lawson, Caleb Lawson, and Tyler and Jaden Lawson.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., with the Rev. Lee Cruse and Brother Doyle Spry officiating.
