Police are looking for a man who robbed a downtown Danville bank in broad daylight Wednesday morning.
Police Chief Tony Gray said a black male wearing a baseball cap entered U.S. Bank on the corner of Main Street and Fourth Street shortly before 11 a.m. The man, who is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs roughly 170 pounds, demanded money, but apparently did not show a weapon.
The suspect left the building with an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot. He was last seen walking east through the back parking lot of Central Kentucky Federal Savings Bank on the opposite corner of Main and Fourth Streets.
No one was harmed during the robbery, Gray said.
The suspect was wearing a "University of Kentucky"-blue polo shirt, white casual dress pants and black shoes. The white baseball hat he was wearing had a blue brim and what appears to be a blue football helmet on the front.
