It has been 10 years since the Trabue Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution elected and installed a full slate of officers. Jessieanne Wells, Kentucky state regent from Cox’s Creek, Ky., installed the new officers.
The Trabue Chapter is excited with the new growth that they are experiencing and are in hopes more women will want to join their lineage and service organization. The objectives of the DAR are education, historic preservation and patriotism. They meet monthly and with programs that follow their objectives. Any woman is eligible for membership who is not less than 18 years of age and who is lineally descended from a man or woman who, with unfailing loyalty to the cause of American independence, served as a sailor, soldier or civil officer or rendered material aid during the Revolutionary War.
For more information on how to join, please e-mail the Trabue Chapter at TrabueChapter@gmail.com.
