Jean Miller: July 2, 2012

Jean Allen Miller, 71, wife of 46 years to Robert Lee Miller, of Vineyard Road died July 2 after a long illness. She was a member of Nicholasville Baptist Church, the Jessamine County Beef-Cattle Association and the Hickman Creek Coon Club. She was retired from the Jessamine County Public Library, where she operated the bookmobile. She was the daughter of the late Tom and Loney Becknell Burdine. Additional survivors include two children, Cindy and husband James Rhorer, and Lee Thomas and wife Jana Miller; seven grandchildren, Shelby and Sara Beth Proffitt, Jimmy Rhorer, and Jacy, Noah, Emma and Levi Miller; three stepgrandchildren, Jared Rhorer, Jamie Goodwin and Gina Rhorer; seven great-grandchildren, Aidan and Taylor Goodwin, Jayden Reed, Kay Leigh Rohrer, Autumn Harrison, and Kristin and Camryn Rhorer. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Becknell officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery.  Visitation was from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday. Bearers will be Brent Muncy, Kevin Beyers, John Hall, Steve Burton, Mike Montgomery and Ricky King. Honorary bearers will be Joyce Walters, Sue Reynolds, Nancy Houp, Ricky Smith, Betty Walters, Tom Becknell, Phyllis Muncy and Elizabeth Ann Watts. www.BettsandWestfuneralhome.com.
