A 19-year-old Danville man was charged with multiple felony and misdemeanor crimes after leading Boyle County Deputy Sheriffs on a high-speed chase early this morning, police said.
Aaron A. Oiler, 19, of McKinney Avenue in Danville, allegedly was recklessly driving his motorcycle at 3 a.m. near the Hampton Inn on the U.S. 150 bypass, police said.
Two Boyle County deputies tried to pull him over, but he allegedly fled at a high rate of speed while driving toward the deputies.
Oiler was apprehended in Stanford with the help of Stanford police officers and a Lincoln County deputy. Officials transported him to Boyle County Detention¿ enter. Oiler is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, speeding 120 miles per hour in a 55 zone, careless driving, driving with a suspended license and several other traffic offenses.
As of this morning, he was being held without bond pending an arraignment.
