Farmers may be glad to see the return of rain to Lincoln County, but wet roads were not friendly to vehicles Friday afternoon.
Continual rain throughout the day led to slick conditions that likely contributed to at least two wrecks — one inside Stanford city limits on Hustonville Road and one along Peyton Well Road near McKinney.
In both wrecks, a vehicle skidded off the road and into a tree. Tim Morris with Stanford police said one woman suffered a minor head injury at the crash along Hustonville Road. Sheriff Curt Folger said no one was injured in the Peyton Well Road crash.
A third accident apparently involving at least two vehicles occurred on Ky. 39 near the Pulaski County line. Folger said Lincoln County deputies responded to the scene, but he did not have information immediately available about what happened. Folger did not know of any injuries from the Ky. 39 wreck.
