She is a member of the Winchester First Church of God youth group where she has participated in many fundraisers and volunteer activities, served as a camp counselor and took part in a summer mission trip.
Katie plans to attend the University of Kentucky and pursue a career in dentistry.
Kaylee Raymer
Kaylee is a very involved member of her school and community. Maintaining a cumulative 4.2 GPA, she is a member of the junior advisory, Beta and French clubs, GRC’s KYCID school-wide leadership team, Viewpoints editor for the school newspaper, a D.A.R.E. role model and a third year player on the Lady Cardinals volleyball team.
Outside of school Kaylee is a member of Broadway Baptist Church, a regular volunteer at Pine Meadows Nursing Home in Lexington and enjoys holding private tutoring sessions for younger students.
She currently is undecided on a college, but would like to seek a career in education or communications.
Kelsey Barnett
Kelsey is a junior at GRC. She is a very active member of her church youth group. She also is the children’s worship leader and kids church teen teacher at Christview Christian Church and a vacation Bible school counselor.
She has volunteered for Operation Happiness, was a camp counselor at “Camp Invention” volunteered at Jesus Prom for two years and was a Transitional Care Unit volunteer. At this time Kelsey wants to go to Eastern Kentucky University and major in elementary education.
Samantha Pettus
Samantha has been a leader in different organizations. She was the FFA reporter her freshman year and is a fourth grade youth leader at Central Baptist Church.
She has helped with the Clark County FFA corn maze for the past two years and volunteers at the Winchester Day Care and with her youth group.
Samantha has maintained a 3.75 GPA in high school and plans on becoming an equine veterinarian. Her school choices are the University of Kentucky and Auburn University.
Lilly Shear
Lilly is involved in many organizations. She is a member of the GRC volleyball and tennis teams. She serves as a reporter for the Technology Student Association and as leadership committee chair for FFA and is a member of the Beta Club.
Besides her other activities, she works with her youth group at church and keeps the children during church service. She is undecided in her college plans but plans to major in education and one day hopes to teach elementary school.
Laurin Hisle
Laurin Hisle is actively involved in many organizations. She has been a member of the GRC marching band for the past three years, the concert and pep bands, in which she plays the flute. Laurin is a member of Beta Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She also is a Girl Scout and has been a camp counselor and has earned her Silver Award, the second highest achievement in the organization. Laurin volunteers for Operation Happiness and the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry. She also volunteers to help support the Band Boosters through bingo.
