“Peace and Happiness,” Summer Singers Choral Concert, 7:30 p.m. July 30, The Presbyterian Church of Danville. Free. Summer Singers is one of three choirs of Danville Sings, an umbrella organization sponsored by the Community Arts Center. The group has 70 singers, from junior high school age well into senior citizenship. It rehearses every Monday evening during June and July. Several families of two to four singers participate together and singers come from Danville, Harrodsburg, Richmond, Somerset, Hustonville, Stanford, Lawrenceburg, Perryville and Lexington. Barbara Hall, professor of music at Centre College, founded the group in 1985 and continues as its conductor.
