JULY 19

12:16 a.m., there is an ongoing problem with neighbors arguing in the back parking lot on Citation Drive.

1:57 a.m., management at Walmart is requesting an officer clear the parking lot.

1:58 a.m., a male is outside on North Fourth Street causing a disturbance; male is now secure inside his apartment.

9:01 a.m., report that the lights are on inside of Dollar General Store on East Main Street, but the doors are still locked; the business is scheduled to open at 8 a.m.; assistance given and manager en route.

9:50 a.m., report of theft from a vehicle parked on East Main Street.

10:26 a.m., report that a bike has been found on Swope Drive.

1:08 p.m., caller is reporting that her 1988 Oldsmobile has been stolen.

2:42 p.m., staff member at Humane Society has found what appears to be an abandoned vagrant campsite; assistance given.

3:09 p.m., a male wearing shorts but no shirt has come into Christ the Head Missionary Church on East Main Street; caller believes he may be under the influence of intoxicant; officer advised that family members are taking the juvenile to the hospital in reference to possible drug activity.

3:17 p.m., caller from Earl Street residence is reporting money was stolen from the apartment.

3:32 p.m., two-vehicle accident on Count Fleet Circle.

3:37 p.m., adult male shoplifter who stole DVDs is acting nervous; arrest made.

4:47 p.m., a home health nurse is advising that a male at the residence is a sex offender and there are four female juveniles living there.

4:59 p.m., female shoplifter is in custody at Kroger.

5:28 p.m., shoplifting in progress at Kroger; citation issued.

5:33 p.m., possible drug activity in a residence where there are small children; officer cannot get anyone to answer the door; 5:50 p.m., residents has agreed to let the officer inside.

7:42 p.m., occupanst in a white car are throwing fireworks out of the window on Shakertown Road; unable to locate.

8:03 p.m., report that a burglary occurred within the last week at Smith Street residence.

8:47 p.m., a tree limb is on utility lines on Old Shakertown Road and there are smoke and flames visible; KU notified; sparking has subsided and there is no immediate threat; assistance given.

10:12 p.m., a 63-year-old male has stepped into a manhole on Michelle Court.

11:03 p.m., a female in a red hat smells heavily of alcohol at Walmart; assistance given.
