Lou Eva Whitter, 74, of Eubank, passed away Monday, July 23, at her residence.
Born May 2, 1938, in Faubush, Lou¿Eva was a daughter of the late Jesse Powers Morris and Versie Foster Morris. She was a factory worker for Tecumseh, a member of Liberty Baptist Church and a foster grandparent at Oakwood. Lou Eva loved to embroidery, to do cross quilting and going to yard sales. She also loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers and sisters dearly.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charles William Whitter, whom she married on Feb. 5, 1953 and who died on Aug. 20, 2003; stepmother, Edith Whitter Morris; and brothers, Timothy and Ronnie Morris.
Survivors include four children, Mary Whitter McKinney, Shirley Franklin Ridner and Charles Eugene Whitter, all of Eubank and Marie (Paul) Kenney of Nicholasville; brothers and sisters, Dale (Jane) Morris of Ohio, Alice (Duane) Spezia of Indiana, Wilbur (Carol) Morris of Ohio, Jesse Ray (Kathy) Morris of Arkansas, Verisa Lou (JR) Baker of Harrodsburg, Bobby Morris of Ohio, Rosie Whitaker of Somerset, David Morris of Nancy and Martha (Gary) Kirby of Eubank; grandchildren, Cary (Sonya) McKinney, Jerry (Jessica) McKinney, Scott (Casandra) Franklin, Tracie Franklin (her fiancé Michael Lyles), Brian Evans and Jason (Angie) Huff; great grandchildren, Jacob and Sydney McKinney, Brandon, Hunter and Heather Franklin, Devin, Nathan and Damien Lyles, Kayce Evans, Katie Spurgeon and Zackery Huff; and great, great grandchild, unborn Remy Spurgeon.
