Flora Taylor, 89

Flora Taylor, 89, of McKinney,  died Friday, July 20, at home. 

Born Oct.  7, 1922, in Madisonville, Flora was a daughter of the late Ira and Eva Ipock. She was a retired machine operator, a member of McKinney Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 25 years and the widow of Amos Taylor.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Taylor Britt; a daughter-in-law. Nora Britt; two brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include two sisters, Vada Powell and Hadie Brock both of Dawson Springs; one grandson, Shannon (Kellie) Britt of McKinney; one granddaughter, Lena (Mark) Tate of Bradfordsville; and four great grandchildren; Cheyanne and Austin Britt and Sarah Grace and Jacob Owen Tate. 

Funeral services were July 23 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford with Rev. Mark Tate officiating. Burial was in  Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Shannon Britt, Danny Bright, Tony Turpin, Ed Walls, Dale Walls and Kenny Holt. Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
