Downtown stores plan sales
Heart of Danville’s Downtown Lemons and Leftovers Sale will take place Friday and Saturday. With 13 downtown stores participating, merchants will offer sales and savings on items that may not have sold well or that need to be sold to make room for more inventory, along with other sales. Many stores will offer lemonade and lemon-themed snacks, and a few may even have local children and/or civic groups providing lemonade stands.
The participating businesses include: A&L Accessories, Carol’s Bridal & Gifts, The Clothes Horse, Community Arts Center, Danville Bike & Footwear, Derby Shoppe & Raggs, Karamel Kreations, Lily Manor Day Spa and Salon, Maple Tree Gallery, Muddy Creek Primitives, The Purple Pearl, Thoroughbred Threads, and V the Market. All businesses will operate under their normal hours.
Lawn Chair Theater is Friday
Heart of Danville’s Lawn Chair Theater will show “Field of Dreams” Friday, a movie previously rained out in July. The movie will be shown in Constitution Square Park, and will begin at dusk. Admission is free, and popcorn and drinks will be on sale. The movie will begin at dusk. Farmers National Bank is sponsoring this week’s movie.
