STANFORD — The Lincoln school system has hired Jim Ward as the new coordinator of curriculum, instruction and assessment instruction.
“It is great to have Mr. Ward back in the district,” said school superintendent Karen Hatter. “Jim will be an integral part of our leadership team and will work closely with district staff to provide the very best academic experiences for Lincoln County students.
“In this position, Mr. Ward will serve as the district assessment coordinator and professional development coordinator, as well as the district liaison in the turnaround effort at Lincoln County High School. The hiring committee recommended a skilled and experienced educator to move us closer to our goal of ‘Every Student, Every Classroom, Every Day — College/Career and Citizenship Ready.’”
Ward has earned a varied educational resume as a teacher, principal and Kentucky Department of Education consultant. Beginning his career as an elementary teacher in Rockcastle County, he entered the administrative ranks when he was named principal of Crab Orchard Elementary School in 1998.
