STANFORD — Ida Hurst, 98, of Stanford, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, in Danville.
Born Sept. 29, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Will and Maggie Naylor. She was the widow of Lincoln Hurst, a homemaker and a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Gladys (George) Cunningham of Danville and Joan Rudd of Palm Coast, Fla.; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, a sister, two sons, Raymond and Bobby Hurst, and one daughter, Laverne Smith, preceded Mrs. Hurst in death.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at Spurlin¿Funeral Home,¿Stanford. The Rev. Brad King and the Rev. Johnny Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
