HARRODSBURG — A Danville man already in custody for allegedly breaking into a Mercer County house and tangling with the homeowner faces additional charges related to three other burglaries.
Jason Edward Myers, 35, of 28 Burckley Drive, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing today in Mercer District Court on a count of first-degree burglary for allegedly breaking into Bruno Albiero’s home on Ashley Camp Road near Burgin on July 23.
While investigating that case, Mercer Deputy Sheriff Wes Gaddis executed a search warrant on Myers’ home and recovered items taken from burglaries in Salvisa, Burgin and Danville dating back to October.
On Tuesday, Gaddis charged Myers with receiving stolen property more than $500 for having items taken in those three break-ins, along with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon for rifles found in Myers’ home, Gaddis said. The rifles have not been connected to any of the burglaries, the deputy said.
