Man arrested for possession
HARRODSBURG — Deputies discovered a man in possession of a controlled substance, believed to be crack cocaine, on Aug. 22, on the U.S. 127 Bypass at Bellows Mill Road.
Brian K. Powers, 47, of Lexington, was stopped after he failed to signal a turn. According to Chief Deputy Scott Elder, upon conducting a field test on the substance, it was determined to be crack cocaine. It was sent to be tested for further confirmation.
Powers was arrested and charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to signal properly. Deputies also located cash and seized Powers’ car.
He was lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center and later released on bail. The investigation is ongoing.
Man kicks in door
HARRODSBURG — An unknown male attempted to enter a residence on West Office Street about 10 p.m. Aug. 25 by kicking in the back door.
