The outcry rang out across Nicholasville last weekend when the only Taco Bell in town was leveled flat.
Only black letters in the marquee, where the most recent value-menu offers once stood, ambiguously stated the fate of the resturant as “close.”
Within a day of filing for demolishing with the Nicholasville Planning Commission, the restaurant was wiped away like the remnants of lettuce and cheese from an over-stuffed taco that had fallen on the table.
However, there is no reason to run for the border for Mexican food; the 99-cent tacos and the little colorful bags of sauce with saucy comments on them shall return.
The fast-food Mexican-style restaurant and franchise is being rebuilt on the same location and is expected to be operational within 90 days — 60 days if Taco Bell main headquarters has any say in the matter.
