Edna Mae Lane Evans, 90, passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2012.
Born Dec. 16, 1921 in Bradfordsville, she was a daughter of the late Lora Mae Preston and Vannie Burl Lane, and the widow of Charles L. Evans Jr. Edna Mae enjoyed going to church and was a faithful member of West End Church of Christ in Danville. She was a seamstress at Palm Beach and liked to spend time with her family and cooking meals to take to other families.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Lane Evans and his wife Ova Ann of Lawrenceburg; a daughter, Susie Mae Kelly and her husband Eddie of Danville; five grandchildren, Julie Ann Brothers, Kenneth Irvin Evans, Joe (Robin) Kelly, Todd (Elizabeth) Kelly and Dustin Kelly; 12 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Ellen Purdom of Gravel Switch.
A son, Jimmie Davis Evans, a brother, Mitchell Lee Lane, and two sisters, Mildred Louise Evans and Betty Ann Lamkin, preceded Edna Mae in death.
