Robert Eugene Griffith, 76, of Crab Orchard, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.
Born Aug. 24, 1936, in Lexington, Robert was a son of the late Preston and Gertrude Curtis Griffith. He was a farmer, retired from the Lexington Humane Society, a member of Dix River Pentecostal Church and the widower of Mildred Hoover Griffith.
He was also preceded in death a grandson, Anthony Woodard; a son-in-law, Leroy Lyons; and brothers, Billy and Harold Lee Griffith.
Survivors include five children, Margaret (Mike) Franchere, Barbara Lyons, Cathy (Greg) Bowman, Robin (David) Bennett and Carl (Lisa) Griffith; three brothers, Preston, Clarence and T.J. Griffith; two sisters, Debbie and Judy Griffith; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Gladys Griffith.
Funeral services were Jan. 19 at McKnight Funeral Home in Crab Orchard with Bro. Donald Lear officiating. Burial was in Griffith Family Cemetery on the family farm.
