HARRODSBURG — A 17-year-old was charged after Harrodsburg Police responded Feb. 4 to a welfare check request on North College Street.
Upon entering the apartment, a strong odor of marijuana was detected, according to police. Officers were granted permission to search and discovered 14 ounces of a green, leafy substance; smoking devices; baggies; cigars; scales; and a Colt 4.5 pellet gun.
The juvenile admitted the items were his, and was transported to the Harrodsburg Police Department. He was cited for trafficking marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia before being released to a parent.
