Lincoln County grand jury returns April indictments

STANFORD — The following people were indicted last week by a Lincoln County grand jury:

• Tara Lake, 28, of Danville, first-degree assault for allegedly hitting Melissa Pike with a baseball bat on Feb. 22. Bond was set at $25,000. Deputy Chase Marcum testified before the grand jury.

• Joseph B. Brewster, 36, of 117 Harris Creek No. 3, Stanford, third-degree assault and terroristic threatening for allegedly being armed with a deadly weapon while trying to injure Kentucky State Trooper Josh Chenault and threatening harm to Cynthia Reardon on May 18, 2012. Bond was set at $25,000. Trooper David Fugate testified before the grand jury.

• Adam G. Epling, 35, 2795 Angel Ridge Road, Kings Mountain, first-degree burglary and violation of an emergency protective order for allegedly breaking into the home of Dana Denney with intent to commit a crime on Dec. 10. Bond was set at $25,000. Sheriff Curt Folger testified.

• John H. Gregory, 52, of Wallins Creek, flagrant nonsupport for allegedly falling $21,663 behind in child support payments. Bond was set at $20,000. Dana M. Gander testified.

• Richard D. Kirkpatrick, 41, of Lexington, flagrant nonsupport for allegedly falling $5,765 behind in child support payments. Bond was set at $5,000. Gander testified.

• Crystal L. Amaya, 38, Pine Grove Road, Stanford, welfare fraud for allegedly failing to report changes impacting her eligility for public assistance. Bond was set at $5,000. David Marcum testified.

• Jennifer P. Cornett, 31, 2710 Ky. 78, Hustonville, welfare fraud for allegedly failing to report changes impacting her eligility for public assistance. Bond was set at $5,000. Marcum testified.
