Classes

Zumba with Brooke — 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Covenant Church of the Nazarene. Cost is a pay-what-you-can donation.

Living with Alzheimers: For Caregivers - Middle Stage — 1-4 p.m. July 29 at the Lexington Public Library, Beaumont Branch, 3080 Fieldstone Way. Program addresses  issues involved in caring for a person in the middle stages of Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. Specific topics covered include behavioral and role/relationship changes, medication, safety and residential options. Yoga Classes — 9-10 a.m. Wednesdays at the Danville-Boyle County Senior Citizens Center. Classes are designed for the senior population and are free to all seniors over the age of 60. Dress comfortably for some exercise and fun.  For more information, call the center at (859) 236-2070.

Body Recall Summer Schedule — 9-10 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at First Christian Church, 555. E. Lexington Ave., for a 10 week session that will end Aug 2. Certified instructor is Carolyn Walter, call (859) 548-8203.

Danville-Boyle County Adult Education Learning Center — Open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Thursday at 1714 Perryville Road, Danville Square Suites, 112 (next to Big Lots). Free GED preparation, workplace training and adult education classes. Enrollment sessions begin at 9 a.m. Monday and Wednesday. For more information, call (859) 238-2171.

GED Classes — Held weekly in Stanford, Crab Orchard, McKinney and Waynesburg. Classes also available include adult basic education, computer, workplace skills, English as second language and others. For more information, call (606) 365-9665.

Mercer County Adult Education — Free GED preparation, workplace soft-skill training, basic computer training and other instruction based on needs of participant. Dance etc.

Constitution Squares Dance Club — 7-10 p.m. Saturday at the Gathering Place, 569 Jean Drive, Danville, for mainstream and square dance. Line dancing also included between tips. Organizations

AARP Chapter of Garrard County — Noon Tuesday at Golden Corral restaurant in Nicholasville. To take advantage of the early bird special, pay for meal after the meeting. Optional meal is responsibility of participant. Members of the National AARP or those 50 and older interested in learning about the group are welcome, including residents of surrounding counties.

Cedar Creek Sportsman’s Club — 7 p.m. third Tuesday of the month at the clubhouse.

Civil Air Patrol, Danville Squadron — 6:30 p.m. Thursdays at the squadron headquarters, CAP Drive, Stuart Powell Field in Junction City. Anyone interested in aviation, 18 and older, is welcome. Senior citizens

Boyle and Lincoln senior citizens centers menus this week:
Monday: pork roast with gravy, peas, creamed potatoes, peaches and wheat bread.
Tuesday: turkey, chef salad, marinated vegetables, banana, wheat crackers and crispy rice treat.
Wednesday: hamburger, baked beans, carrots, toppings, fruit and bun.
Thursday: baked chicken thigh, broccoli and cauliflower, black-eyed peas, fruit and grain bar and wheat roll.
Friday: meatloaf, brown gravy, green beans, mashed potatoes, fruit and wheat bread.
