Boyle County grand jury hands up indictments

A Danville teenager was indicted last week by a Boyle County grand jury for allegedly breaking into a liquor store and stealing some of its wares.

Nathan Griffin, 19, of 161 Shearin Ave. was indicted on counts of burglary, theft less than $500 and criminal mischief for allegedly unlawfully entering Ray’s Liquor Mart of Junction City on July 2, taking alcohol and damaging the property in the process of the burglary.

Bond was set at $5,000. Junction City Police Chief Merl Baldwin testified before the grand jury.

Others indicted were:

  • Kathryn Baker, 37, of Kings Mountain, and William Bartleson, 37, of Harrodsburg, receiving stolen property for allegedly having a personal item belonging to Ray Phillips valued at more than $500 on May 18. Bonds were set at $5,000 each. Trooper Eric Taylor testified.
  • Rachel Baltimore, 43, of Harrodsburg, alleged trafficking in more than 20 tablets of hydrocodone on May 25. Bond was set at $5,000. Kentucky State Police Detective Brian Wofford testified.
  • Marty Bussell, 41, of Brodhead, flagrant nonsupport for allegedly falling more than $5,000 behind in child support payments. Bond was set at $5,000. Jennifer Trotter of Child Support Enforcement testified.
  • David Russell, 39, 404 Crescent Drive, two counts of first-degree sexual abuse for allegedly subjecting a girl less than 12 to sexual contact in May and June. Bond was set at $40,000. Danville Officer Robert Ladd testified.
  • Herschel Carpenter, 46, of Stanford, flagrant nonsupport for allegedly falling more than $5,000 behind in child suppxort payments. Bond was set at $5,000. Trotter testified.
  • Shawn Cissell, 39, of Lexington, flagrant nonsupport for allegedly falling more than $5,000 behind in child support payments. Bond was set at $5,000. Trotter testified.
  • William Scott Cornish, 43, 308 Buckner St., Perryville,  alleged second-offense trafficking in more than 20 tablets of hydrocodone on May 25. Bond was set at $10,000. Wofford testified.
  • Ronald Cross, 29, of Harrodsburg, flagrant nonsupport for allegedly falling more than $5,000 behind in child support payments. Bond was set at $5,000. Trotter testified.
  • Johnny P. Cummins Jr., 21, of Stanford, alleged trafficking in oxymorphone on May 7. Bond was set at $5,000. Wofford testified.
  • Amanda Eden, 33, of Somerset, alleged fraudulent use of a credit card and theft less than $500 for allegedly obtaining cash from Sarah Fisk’s credit card and taking her personal items on April 20. Bond was set at $5,000. Trooper Jeff Stith testified.
  • Kevin Freedman, 33, 70 Marie Drive, alleged driving under the influence and fleeing from police on April 19. Bond was set at $5,000. Deputy Chris Statton testified. 
  • Melissa Gomez, 28, 1020 E. Main St., promoting contraband for allegely bringing contraband into Northpoint Training Center on May 19. Bond was set at $5,000. Trooper Chris Damron testified.
  • John A. Graves, 24, 1026 Butler Ave., bail jumping for allegedly failing to appear for a pretrial conference in Boyle Circuit Court on July 9. Bond was set at $10,000. Kari Lamb testified.
  • Ronald Glass, 29, of Middleburg, alleged possession of methamphetamine, DUI and second-offense driving on a suspended license on April 16. Bond was set at $10,000. Danville Officer Sally Bustle testified.
  • Tarry Holt, 37, 1035 Plainview Drive, flagrant nonsupport for allegedly falling more than $5,000 behind in child support payments. Bond was set at $5,000. Trotter testified.
  • Leif Lawson, 32, of Springfield, flagrant nonsupport for allegedly falling more than $5,000 behind in child support payments and being a persistent felony offender. Bond was set at $20,000. John Hendrickson of Child Support Enforcement testified.
  • Jerry Nation, 33, Northpoint Training Center, promoting contraband for allegely having contraband in Northpoint Training Center on May 19. Bond was set at $5,000. Damron testified.
  • Renata Penman, 32, 520 High St., flagrant nonsupport for allegedly falling more than $5,000 behind in child support payments. Bond was set at $5,000. Hendrickson testified.
  • David Rakes, 66, 1381 Scrubgrass Road, Mitchellsburg, alleged three counts of trafficking in hydrocodone on Jan. 24, Feb. 7 and March 5. Bond was set at $10,000. Wofford testified.
  • Gregory Rogers, 49, 211 of Allene Drive, unlawful imprisonment, assault and being a persistent felony offender for allegedly restraining Clela Durham and striking her on May 15. Bond was set at $20,000. Deputy Jody Adams testified.
  • Dominique Taylor, 27, 615 S. Second St., flagrant nonsupport for allegedly falling more than $5,000 behind in child support payments. Bond was set at $5,000. Hendrickson testified.
  • Jason L. Vanover, 41, 118 Aldridge Lane, receiving stolen property for allegedly having personal property valued at more than $500 belonging to Homer and Nancy Vanoy on April 24. Bond was set at $5,000. Danville Officer Patrick McQueen testified.
  • Brittany Wright, 23, of Lexington, alleged possession of heroin on June 4. Bond was set at $5,000. Deputy Casey McCoy testified.
  • Jami Johnson, 36, 536 S. Buell St., Perryville, allegedly possessing alprazolam and marijuna, both misdemeanors, on March 28. Bond was set at $2,000. McCoy testified.
