Alice is among the many precious kittens available for adoption this week from the Danville-Boyle County Humane Society animal shelter. There is also an adult male named Garvey available. Dogs include a beautiful, well-behaved Lab-border collie mix, two chihuahua mixes, two Jack Russell terrier mixes, a cattle dog (blue heeler) mix, and many others. The animal shelter, located on the bypass beside the fairgrounds, is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Winnie, a beautiful white German shepherd, is among the dogs available for adoption this week at the Danville-Boyle County Humane Society Animal Shelter. Also available are the following adults: a medium-sized mixed breed brother and sister who are neutered, a beagle mix and a red heeler. Puppies include hound mix, chow-collie mix, Labrador retriever mix and many more. There is also a wide variety of cats and kittens. Anneliese Matisse is a gorgeous female coonhound who came to the Jessamine County S.A.V.E. Center as a stray. She's very friendly and eager to find a good home. If she's not the right dog for your family, please come out to the SAVE Center and look at the many other dogs that are available for adoption. Little Lord Fauntleroy is a male tabby cat. He one of about 20 tiny kittens that will soon be available for adoption. They can't go home just yet because they still need momma cat. A pair of pups, Franklin and Flora, and a pair of kittens, Dottie and Dabney, are among the pets available for adoption this week from the Danville-Boyle County Humane Society. Franklin and Flora are terrier mix pups who are about 4 or 5 months old and have large paws, indicating they will be large adults. They are very friendly and lovable. Dottie and Dabney are about 8 weeks old and are among the young kittens available for adoption. Many cats between 6 months and a year are available, too, as well as adult cats, some already declawed and neutered.
