•Steven Eric Whitaker, 22, 140 Coolbreeze Drive, was arrested Jan. 15 on Elmwood Court and charged with receiving stolen property, $10,000 or more. • Bennie Sullivan, 53, 300 Edgewood Drive No. 7, was arrested Jan. 16 at the same address and charged with fourth-degree assault. • Cynthia M. Perez, 45, 121 Gaines Way Drive, was arrested Jan. 15 at Walmart (1024 N. Main St.) and charged with theft by unlawful taking - shoplifting. • Stephen R. Carnes, 43, 212 Squires Way, was arrested Jan. 15 on Lexington Road and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs and speeding 13 MPH over the limit.

WINCHESTER¿POLICE Charged - Cecil Caudill, 36, was charged Wednesday with theft by unlawful taking, alcohol intoxication and second-degree fleeing or evading police. Reports -  At 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 303 Atrium Place after someone broke into a Jeep and took the stereo and brake pads. - At 7:57 p.m. Wednesday, officers took a report about a stolen debit card. - At 4:59 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 14 W. Washington St. concerning a suspected shoplifter.

The following cases were resolved in Clark District Court Oct. 22 with Judge Charles Hardin presiding. - Rodney G. Butler, public intoxication, pleaded guilty, 90 days, 76 days conditionally discharged; second-degree fleeing or evading police, dismissed; menacing, pleaded guilty, concurrent sentence; resisting arrest, dismissed. - James R. Gilliam, careless driving, dismissed; driving under the influence (second offense), pleaded guilty, fined, 12-month license suspension, seven days; driving on a suspended operator's license, pleaded guilty, fined; failure to maintain insurance, pleaded guilty, fined.
