Happy 4th of July! Nothing sets off a hot, grilled burger better than fresh vine-ripened tomatoes; crisp, candy onions; and green, leafy lettuce. Add a grilled garden vegetable medley for a perfect summertime meal. These goodies and more will be at the Boyle County Farmer's Market this week. Vendors will set up at the Boyle County Fairgrounds Tuesdays and Thursdays until Nov. 1 Hours are from 8 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays.

Local blackberries, peaches, sweet corn and tomatoes were the stars of Saturday's market day. Even though they are more abundant now, shop early for your favorites. They go fast. These goodies and more will be at the Boyle County Farmer's Market this week. Saturday marks the last regular market for 2009 for the Boyle County Farmer's Market at the Fairgrounds. Many, many thanks to all of our wonderful customers and friends! Your patronage and encouragement has helped our market to grow. We will be back next season with even more fresh-from-the-farm goodies. Regular market hours are 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Boyle County Fairgrounds.
