Philadelphia United Baptist cemetery upkeep Philadelphia United Baptist in Brodhead has taken over the upkeep of the cemetery. Send any donations to Philadelphia United Baptist Church, 834 Bryant Ridge Road, Brodhead, KY 40409. If you wish to put a loved one to rest at the cemetery, contact Pator Gordan Mink at (606) 308-5368. Please take the old flowers with you, the church does not have trash pickup.   “Big Train” to perform “Big Train” will be playing a post derby celebration at Beiting Hall located in Lancaster at St. Williams Church Saturday, May 4. Ladies wear your hats!

HARRODSBURG - Mercer County seniors Megan Hilbert and Taylor Schroeder have made decisions on where they will play college softball. Hilbert has committed to play for Transylvania and will hold a ceremony today at Mercer. Schroeder is heading to University of the Cumberlands and will sign with the school Friday. Hilbert, a third baseman and pitcher, committed two Transylvania “a few weeks” ago and said everything about the school and program fit her. “The campus is my favorite and the coach is my favorite and the softball team really nice,” said Hilbert, who picked Transylvania over Georgetown, Lindsey Wilson and St. John Fisher College of New York.
