I am a registered Independent and have been since 1980. I have been called conservative by liberals and a liberal by conservatives; yet, I am firmly positioned in the center. I have voted for Mitch McConnell and Jim Bunning as well as Wendell Ford. I vote for people not parties. For the past four years, I have witnessed the dissolve of the Republican Party. What were once reasonable, understanding, responsible people are now radical, crazy, nation destroying individuals who will do anything and stop at nothing to remove an African-American from our White House. What really sparks my anger are the lies and false witnessing they use. Barack Obama is a born again, native-born American Christian.

My husband, Mike, and I attended a viewing of “2016 Obama's America” last Saturday. I would encourage all who plan on voting this presidential election season to see this documentary before November. The author, Dinesh D'Souza, is an immigrant from India, who came to America as a young man to follow the American dream. D'Souza tells the viewer about Obama's life as a young child, young adult and adult. He tells of the influences of his Communist father and his leftist mother and grandfather. The author outlines the relationships of men who had a significant influence on Obama; namely, Frank Marshall Davis, Communist #47544, Roberto Unger, professor at Harvard, Edward Said, professor at Columbia, Bill Ayers, member of the Weather Underground, and Jeremiah Wright.

“If you've got a business you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen.” - President Barack Obama, July 13, 2012. In political terms, a “gaff” is when you accidentally let the truth come out. Barack Obama has made a career fooling people into thinking he is a moderate. He has revealed what is truly in his heart of hearts. Small business owners give blood, sweat and tears to build their businesses - taking risks and spending many long hours. “Somebody else” did it?

WASHINGTON - The Big Blue Nation invaded the East Room of the White House Friday afternoon as President Barack Obama honored the 2012 National Championship team in front of a packed room filled with cheering fans, family members and friends. Obama especially commended the players' ability to play as a team and said because of that ability, they were able to "do something special right away. " "My understanding is when you recruited these players, Coach started off by asking them some simple questions: 'Do you want to win a national title?

Politicians regularly use the Bible to further their agendas. People want to believe in the goodness of their leaders. Obama has a gift of rhetoric that can separate people along economic lines. President Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast called for the wealthy to pay more in taxes. He said his policies were not only economically sound but also rooted in his Christian values. Obama said, “But for me as a Christian, it also coincides with Jesus' teaching that, for unto whom much is given, much shall be required.” Policies rooted in Christian values?

There is not a candidate in the Oct. 11 debate who can beat Barack Obama. Yet there is a Republican candidate out there who can not only beat Barack Obama but is the very catalyst this country needs to turn it around. Buddy Roemer, Republican candidate for president. His campaign motto is “Free to lead.” Roemer is refusing donations from political action committees or major corporations and limiting donations to $100. Buddy Roemer: Bachelor's in economics, 1964, and MBA in finance, 1967, Harvard University.

I've been around long enough to get a little grizzled at the gills and seen some pretty amazing things in my time. I was 10 years old as I watched a man set foot on the moon, an event so incredible a lot people to this day don't believe it really happened. Barack Obama was elected president, off the charts on the probability scale, yet the proof is there every night on the news. The bass player for The Psychedelic Furs hooked up with a Casey County gal and moved to Liberty.

Today is Presidents Day, and being an American history enthusiast, I thought of the following presidential trivia questions. Let’s see how many you can get right. The answers are below. Questions: 1. Which president of the last 20 years is a direct descendant of Confederate President Jefferson Davis? 2. Who was the only president who was ever divorced? 3. John F. Kennedy was the first Catholic to become president, but who was the first Catholic to be nominated for the presidency by either the Democrats or Republicans?

President Obama is the most dysfunctional president in American history, and unrest will continue to grow so long as he continues to treat us the way he does. The recent debate over the Mosque at Ground Zero and the Florida pastor who threatened to burn the Quran have been instructive. While I don’t agree with the pastor’s threat, I do support his First Amendment right to expression. If you recall President Bush’s reaction to 9/11, we knew with absolute certainty that he was on America’s side.

In a few days we will all engage in our annual accounting of the blessings that have been bestowed upon us during the year. Things like health, family, coworkers and having a job are among the popular thanks being offered. But I wonder what our political leaders will be thankful for? As I look into my crystal Butterball, here is what I see: Barack Obama ? George W. Bush Bush has been out of office for almost a year, but you would think he left last week given Obama's constant "I inherited a mess" and "it didn't happen on my watch" diatribes about Bush administration economic and foreign policies.
