Wyetta M. Hill, 58, died Thursday at Saint Joseph Hospital East in Lexington. She was a¿native of Powell County and wife of Jackie O. Hill, daughter of Cornia Martin and the late Russell Martin. She was also a member of the West Bend Baptist Church in West Bend, Ky., where she served as church treasurer, and was very active. She was a graduate of Powell County High School, and was employed by BB&T Bank in Winchester. She leaves to cherish her memory, a husband Jackie O. Hill, two sons Joey R. (Turquoise)

Christmas Day on Tuesday creates a varied closing schedule for offices and businesses. Clark County Community Services will be closed from Saturday through Christmas week and will reopen Jan. 2. Winchester Municipal Utilities will be closed Monday and Tuesday, and the Clark County Public Library will close Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Window services at the United States Post Office will close at 1 p.m. Monday with package pickup available through the afternoon. The post office will remain closed Tuesday with only express mail delivered.

County and state offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday for the New Year's holiday while city offices will be closed Tuesday only. Winchester Municipal Utilities will be closed Tuesday only with garbage pickup scheduled that day to resume its regular schedule Friday. The Clark County Pubic Library will be closed Monday and Tuesday, with the United States Post Office closed Tuesday with only express mail to be delivered. Clark County Home Health will be closed Monday and Tuesday with nurses on call, while the Clark County Health Department and the Clark County Extension Office will re-open Wednesday after being closed for the Christmas and New Year holidays.

EASTER FOOD DRIVE The Leadership Winchester Class of 2008 is having an Easter food drive for Clark County Community Services through March 14. Residents are asked to donate non-perishable food items, boxed goods and canned goods to help feed families for Easter. The drop-off sites are as follows: - BB&T - Bluegrass Community & Technical College - Calvary Christian Church and School - Clark County Health Department - Clark Middle School - Community Trust Bank - East Kentucky Power - East Side Baptist Church - First United Methodist Church - George Rogers Clark High School - Hart's Dry Cleaning - I-64 Tractor - Kentucky Utilities - Kroger - St. Agatha Academy - The Winchester Sun - Traditional Bank - Winchester-Clark County Chamber of Commerce - Winchester City Hall - Winchester Fire/EMS Department CLARIFICATION Donnie Charles of 198 Wabash Ave. has informed the Sun that Johnny Christopher, who was listed in the police reports this week, no longer lives at that duplex address.

County offices will have mixed closing days for the Christmas and New Year's holidays.The county clerk's office will be closed Monday and Tuesday for both holidays. The county judge's office and all other county offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday for Christmas and Dec. 29 and Jan. 1 for the New Year's holiday. The Clark Circuit Clerk's office will be closed Monday and Tuesday for Christmas and Friday and Monday for New Year's. The Clark County Community Services will be closed today through Dec. 29, will be open Dec. 30 and then closed until Jan. 2. City offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday in observance of Christmas and on Jan. 1 for the New Year's holiday.
