If you want to get toned for the rest of the summer, consider a Boot Camp exercise program offered by McDowell Wellness Center. The next series of Boot Camp begins Monday, with classes held 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This is a basic training class comprised of exercises that are used to train military personnel. These include push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, crunches, up-downs and running. Advance sign-up is recommended. The cost is $30 for members and $60 for non-members.

List of tornado relief donation centers provided The Kentucky Tornado Relief Team has provided a list of donation centers and contact information for those wishing to donate to or find out what donations are needed for tornado recovery efforts in the state. The website kyem.ky.gov will be updated with more information later this week. McDowell offers Boot Camp  McDowell Wellness Center is offering sessions of its popular boot camp to get individuals in shape while losing weight. A morning boot camp begins 5:20-6:20 p.m. Monday, and meets each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  A women's only boot camp specifically designed to help overweight women get in shape while losing weight will begin 7:30-8:30 p.m. Monday. At the initial class, participants will weigh, check their body-fat percentage and take body measurements.

Marines Pvt. Dustin Rogers graduated from boot camp May 18 at Parris Island in South Carolina. His occupational specialty will be military police. He is the son of Kelvin and Brenda Rogers of Junction City and twin brother of Kyle Rogers. He is the grandson of Cecil and Glora Jean Rogers and Chasteen Parker, all of Danville. Rogers is a 2003 graduate of Boyle County High School. He is stationed at Camp Geiger in North Carolina.
