I retrieved my game camera memory card again this last week. This time I just brought the whole camera back home with me with the intention of making it a little harder for some unscrupulous person to take it should they find it. A security box is available for these cameras, and I will have to purchase one. The ones I have seen so far are mostly of the same type of construction. Some, however, are built for a specific game camera, and, of course, you have to own that camera for the security box to be effective.

I bought one of the older models of game camera the other day, and thought to myself, "Man, now you're going to be able to see just what's out there. " With the game camera in tow by my friend Ron Clem, we took off into the woods trying to locate the best location to place the camera. I had a location in mind, but after looking the area over, we decided to look in a different part of the property to see if there was a better location. There was. However, I know there is at least one other person who hunts this property; and his description of where he hunted appeared to be smack dab in the middle of the area where I would have liked to install the camera.

This week we celebrate "Be Kind to Animals Week. " I understand from talking to various groomers that they are swamped with requests for grooming pets. I suggest that after your dog comes home, shiny clean and smelling wonderful, you may want to take a picture of him/her. However, you need to be careful as you take the picture in order to get the best results. First you need to get your pet's attention. Dogs, being social and desiring to belong to a group, have evolved the visual signals for dominance and submission.
