The newspaper had received a press release which gave the age of the driver, Andrew Stramer, as 18. Stramer is in fact, 17. This was pointed out by his mother, who contacted the paper, and confirmed by a revised press release from the sheriff's office received by the newspaper on Wednesday.

Dear Editor, In response to the article on our Suboxone clinic in Danville that was published on Sunday, Feb. 3, I just wanted to clarify one point. The medication for opiate withdrawal does not put the patient into immediate withdrawal. On the first visit, patients are required to be in moderate withdrawal or the medicine could potentially throw them into immediate withdrawal. We thoroughly evaluate the patient by exam and focused historical data to avoid such events. We are proud to offer this unique treatment for such a deadly epidemic.

Clark County Superintendent Ed Musgrove's yearly evaluation will be delayed until education officials determine how to handle an Attorney General's ruling that specifies the state-required performance reviews be conducted in public. Most Kentucky school boards evaluate their superintendents in a closed session, citing an exemption to the state's open meetings law that allows public agencies to meet in private to discuss specific personnel issues. But the common practice came under scrutiny this summer when a Spencer County Board of Education member filed a complaint with Attorney General Jack Conway, who ruled in August that the reviews must be conducted in public.
