Jan. 13, 1986 Naomi Rye was installed as noble grand of Blue Grass Rebekah Lodge No. 114, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Thursday evening at the Odd Fellows Hall, South Main Street. Ruth Congleton is past noble grand. Clyde Hudson presented a selection of Christmas carols at the annual Christmas supper of True Blue Council No. 55, Daughters of America, held in the community room at Clark RECC, Iron Works Road. “Control Your Weight with Less Eating” was the title of the lesson given at the Jan. 8 meeting of the First Settlers Homemakers Club at Golden Corral Family Steak House.
