When photographer Mary Robin Spoonamore was preparing to pose for a picture in her Fourth Street studio, the background wasn't working for her. Hanging on the wall behind her were formal dress-up-and-hold-that-pose portraits she had done in the past. Spoonamore wanted something more representative of the contemporary, stylized work her business is focusing on now. "We're trying to get away from that traditional stuff," Spoonamore said. Welcome to La Belle Vie Photographic Boutique, the new-look photography business Spoonamore launched last month with partners Laura Guerrant and Wayne Marshall.
