Scott named director of laboratory services Rick Scott has been named to the position of director of Laboratory Services at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Scott has been employed at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center since 1991. During his career at Ephraim McDowell he has served as a lab technician, lab facilitator and lab manager. He earned an associate’s degree and bachelor’s degree in medical technology from the University of Kentucky.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. ? Caleb Crosby of Nashville son of Steve and Shanda Crosby of Winchester qualified for the spring 2009 Dean's List at Belmont University. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C. Crosby has been named to the Dean's List every semester at Belmont and has a cumulative GPA of 3.7. He will be a junior this fall, majoring in commercial music performance ? percussion with a concentration in music technology.

Katie Lynn Stone, daughter of Tom and Dinah Stone, has been named to the Dean's List at Asbury College in Wilmore for the spring 2009 semester. On May 9, Stone graduated from Asbury with a Bachelor of Arts in missions. This summer, she will be working as a missionary with First Baptist Church in Grand Isle, La. She hopes to continue working in missions after the summer.
