Taylor Hafley, a geography major and son of Joseph and Melanie Hafley of Stanford, was named to the 2008 Spring Dean's List at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. Students must achieve an academic average of 3.5 or higher to be included on the list. Hafly is also completing a summer internship titled "Celebrate Springfield," in which he and three addition students are analyzing the strengths of Springfield, including expanding job opportunities, plans for two new hospitals and a range of other exciting avenues reflective of the forward momentum currently underway, as well as the challenges that affect community perceptions.

Campbellsville University has announced its academic honors' list for spring 2008. The list recognizes students who achieve a grade point average of 3.50 or above for the semester with a course load of at least 12 hours. National College in Danville has released the Dean's List for the Spring term. Patsy Richards, a freshman at Lindsey Wilson College, was named to the fall 2007 Dean's List. She is the daughter of Kenneth and Gail Richards of Hustonville.

Caleb Crosby of Winchester, son of Steve and Shanda Crosby, qualified for the fall 2007 Dean's List at Belmont University. Crosby received all A's in his 16 hours of course work for the fall semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5, with no grade below a C. A freshman, Crosby is majoring in commercial music percussion with an emphasis in technology. He studies the drum set under internationally known drummer Zoro and studies classical percussion under Todd London.
