Fitzgerald Jr., 29, Hustonville, theft by deception/cold checks less than $300, 10 days, credit for 10 days served, restitution. Amanda L. Mills, 29, 715 Old Shakertown Road, 20 counts theft by deception/cold checks less than $300, 210 days on each count, concurrently, probated two years, restitution.

Dear Editor Col. Riley, by letter posted Jan. 7, commented on the Obama campaign's defense of lawsuits challenging Obama's citizenship. Under the open court system in the U.S.A., anybody can sue anybody else at any time for any reason, and it is up to a court, not a clerk or other functionary, to decide if the case should go forward. Of course, Obama's people filed denials of the claims - that is routine procedure to avoid being saddled with a default judgment. As to the truth of the allegations - there is a fascinating article at FactCheck.

Court costs also were assessed in most cases. Ages and addresses are listed if available. Commissioner Adam Miller presiding Nicholas J. Williams, driving under the influence of intoxicants under age 21, $150 fine and license suspended six months; and careless driving, merged. CIVIL JUDGMENTS Civil judgments handed down in Boyle Circuit Court include: Midland Funding LLC vs. Chad Wooten, default judgment for plaintiff, $4,570 plus interest and fees.
