A Jessamine County boy was rescued after falling into a family swimming pool Monday afternoon, according to the Jessamine County Sheriff's Office. Deputy Anthony Purcell said 3-year-old Spencer Flynn wandered outside his family's home while other family members were inside. There was no ladder on the pool at the time, and it appears the boy climbed atop a pump attached to the side of the pool and fell in, Purcell said. "One of the family, his sister, looked for him and saw him in the pool and pulled him out and screamed and people came running," Purcell said.

Courthouses closed today to honor Hunt Clark County Judge-Executive Henry Branham announced late this morning that the Clark County Courthouse and the James Clark Judicial Center would both close at noon today to honor Circuit Clerk David Hunt, who died yesterday.
