The attendance at the Green River Pentecostal Church Sunday morning was 321. Dwayne and Donna Lewis gave a birthday party for their son, Gavin, at the fellowship hall last Saturday. There will be Christmas play practice on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. Youth drama practice is Wednesday nights at 6 p.m. There will be a household shower for Troy and Hope Young Sunday, Nov. 25 at the fellowship hall. There will be a Christmas lunch for the seniors of the church on December 1 at noon at the fellowship hall.

James and Carole Taylor of Lincoln County announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, DeShonna Faye Taylor to Shannon Matthew Moore, the son of Gerald and Minnie Moor of Henry County. The ministerial staff and members of Edgewood Baptist Church in Nicholasville honored local public safety personnel Sunday, Sept. 11, during a special commemoration service of the 9/11 anniversary. A wreath was presented in memory of all those who lost their lives Sept. 11, 2001. Lunch was provided in the church's fellowship hall following the Sunday morning service.

Hill St. Pentecostal hosts revival Hill Street Pentecostal Church will host a weekend revival today and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. each night. Darrell Alexander will be the guest speaker. Nov. 28, 1986 The Sun congratulates Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Rogers on the birth of their daughter Tuesday at the Clark County Hospital. She has been named Felicia Helen Joyce. The Winchester-based East Kentucky Power Cooperative utility will become the first cooperative in the state to undergo a management audit, a company official said this morning. Donald Norris, East Kentucky president-general manager, said the cooperative was informed of the pending examination Wednesday through a phone call from the state Public Service Commission.

Students and their parents lined up outside the fellowship hall of Kings Mountain Christian Church hoping a 17-year-old girl could provide them relief. That girl is Brittany Gooch. Brittany thought of helping students by raising money and school supplies when her brother Joshua started school at Lloyd B. McGuffey Sixth Grade Center last year. That's when Brittany realized how expensive school supplies really are. "To get school supplies, the money would really add up," she said.
