Community Church hosting Thanksgiving dinner in July Winchester Community Church will host a special Thanksgiving in July turkey dinner today from 3 to 6 p.m. at 125 N. Franklin Ave. Cost is $6.50 and includes turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce and a roll. Desserts and canned sodas are available for an additional price. Washington St., will host a fish fry today at noon.

Main Street curbs to be washed tonight At midnight tonight, Public Works personnel will power wash the sidewalk curb area of Main Street between Second and Fourth streets. Anyone who parks his vehicle in this area should make alternative arrangements tonight.   Fish fry planned for Saturday Cedar Creek Sportsman Club will host a crappie fish fry on Saturday. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the meal will be served at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-12, and children ages 4 and younger may eat free.

KNIGHTS BEGIN FISH FRIES The Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph Catholic Church have started hosting their annual fish fry fundraisers to benefit St. Agatha Academy, the church and local charities. Last week about 340 dinners were sold, and last night, the group sold homemade clam chowder and gumbo. Next Friday night will be a fish fry, and the dinners will alternate between seafood soups and fish every other Friday night until Holy Week, according to Chris McGrath, one of the volunteers for the Knights.

Garden tractor pull set WAYNESBURG - Waynesburg Pioneer Days will have a garden tractor pull on Saturday. Weigh-in begins at 3 p.m. and the pull starts at 5 p.m. Admission is free. Bikers to raise funds for Hospice A fundraiser for Heritage Hospice Inc. sponsored by the Concerned Bikers of Ky. Inc. is scheduled for noon Saturday. Registration for the annual HOPE Run will be 10 a.m.-noon at the new Hospice building off the bypass. Free T-shirts will be given to the first 100 to sign in. All bikers are welcome.

CORRECTIONS A property transfer incorrectly listed a property name. The Mary Lee Hatton Estate, sold to Donna Haddix for $42,000, was at 48 Rowland Ave., not on Broadway. - A traffic accident report was incorrect in the Feb. 14 issue of the Sun. The correct report is as follows: Rhoda E. Estes of 710 Williamsburg Drive and Jan H. Puetthoff of Mount Sterling were stopped in traffic at Fulton Road and Bypass Road at 4:52 p.m. Feb. 13. Estes told police that her floor mat was under the brake pedal, and when she tried to stop, she slid into the rear of Puetthoff's vehicle, causing damage.
