Due to incorrect information from the Battle of Perryville Re-enactment and Commemoration downtown activities committee, which did not supply the Danville-Boyle County Convention and Visitors Bureau with updated information about this year's downtown happenings, some events were listed incorrectly in Sunday's paper. Here is the correct information: DOWNTOWN SCHEDULE Thursday 7 p.m. : "Sweet City Women," Civil War play, Perryville Methodist Church. Friday 8 a.m.-8 p.m. : Crafts, flea market, food booths.

ARCHAEOLOGICAL SOCIETY TO HOST ARTIFACT SHOW The Green River Archaeological Society will host a two-day Prehistoric Indian Artifact Show on Feb. 9 and 10 at Holiday Inn North, 1950 Newtown Pike, Lexington. Display is limited to prehistoric artifacts from the Continental U.S., Canada, and Alaska only. Related books and display cases will be allowed. Flea market and other material will not be permitted. Because of the increased cost of obtaining facilities, there will be a $10 charge for all display tables.

The community of High Bridge will kick off another weekend of “heritage, heart and home” Friday as the people of Wilmore and the surrounding area welcome the 7th annual High Bridge Homecoming Festival. The goal of the festival is to highlight the aspects of the High Bridge area that make it unique and to reunite the everyone who lived in High Bridge, as well as attract visitors. The festival, which takes place at High Bridge Park, begins Friday evening at 5 and continues through Sunday afternoon.

Boyle preschool registration begins May 5 Registration and free developmental screening for children entering preschool in Boyle County next year will be May 5 through May 12. Appointments are required, and parents should call Kristi Waters at (859) 236-6634. Perryville kindergarten pre-registration is Tuesday Perryville Elementary School will hold kindergarten pre-registration at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Each child entering school for the first time in Boyle County must bring the following documents: Birth certificate - the plastic copy or hospital certificate is not valid for this purpose by state law. Kentucky certificate of immunization - proof of immunization against diptheria, tetanus poliomyelitis, rubeola and rubella.

The Clark County Fiscal Court again postponed voting on a business license ordinance Wednesday because of concerns over how the regulation would be applied and enforced. Magistrates reviewed a first draft of the proposal at its regular meeting two weeks ago, but tabled the vote to allow more time to study the matter. Since then, magistrates said residents had expressed worries over how the ordinance would affect small-time operations such as produce stands. "This is just our attempt to be responsible government and identify all businesses that are operating in Clark County," County Judge-Executive Henry Branham said.

Mt. Beulah to host Pollard Day Mt. Beulah United Methodist Church, located on River Road, will host its annual Pollard Day community gathering from 4-7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11. There will be food, gospel music and fellowship. In order to be judged in the pie contest, all pies must be entered by 4 p.m. The public is invited. New Hope to hold flea market New Hope Fellowship Community flea market will take place at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11. It will be a multi-family event and feature tools, glassware, clothes, furniture and more.

The day will begin with a free breakfast served 8-8:45 a.m. The event will include music, message, fellowship, lunch and door prizes. The featured speaker will be Paulette Stafford Stamper, a Danville native who now resides in Indianapolis, Ind. She has dedicated her life to full-time ministry and is involved as a women's counselor and Bible study teacher at an inner-city community center.

Charged - Lemay Carman, 32, of Frenchburg, was charged Saturday with failure to wear seat belt, obstructed vision, giving officer a false name, theft of identity and license not in possession. She was also served a warrant. - Tami Castle, 53, of 224 Jackson St., was charged Sunday with alcohol intoxication and criminal trespassing. - Bryan D. Green, 47, of 1111 Dale Drive, was charged Sunday with third-degree possession of a controlled substance. - Danielle Jernigan, 22, of 2710 Colby Road, was charged Sunday with fourth-degree assault.

Drive-in to host farmers' market STANFORD - The Stanford Drive-In and Flea Market will host Free Fridays for the new FarmFresh Produce Market. On Fridays beginning June 5, farmers, produce growers and vendors will be able to set up for free.Covered tables are available, or farmers can sell their produce directly from their trucks. The market will open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and will be open on Fridays through August. There is no charge to the public. Vendors already setting up on Saturdays and Sundays are invited to join the fun for free.
