Charged - Lemay Carman, 32, of Frenchburg, was charged Saturday with failure to wear seat belt, obstructed vision, giving officer a false name, theft of identity and license not in possession. She was also served a warrant. - Tami Castle, 53, of 224 Jackson St., was charged Sunday with alcohol intoxication and criminal trespassing. - Bryan D. Green, 47, of 1111 Dale Drive, was charged Sunday with third-degree possession of a controlled substance. - Danielle Jernigan, 22, of 2710 Colby Road, was charged Sunday with fourth-degree assault.

Tickets available for Chautauqua Tea As part of the Great American Brass Band Festival activities in Danville, a full tea and musical Chautauqua performance will be held June 12 at Toy Box Catering, 312 W. Main St., and The Community Arts Center, 401 W. Main St. Tea time will be 2 p.m. at the Toy Box dining room. At 3 p.m. in the Community Arts Center, in conjunction with the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Celebration, the Chautauqua program will present a dramatic performance by Angela Bartley as Mary Todd Lincoln, sponsored by the Kentucky Humanities Council.

CRAB ORCHARD - The ground at Lincoln Scrap Metal glitters with shards of broken glass, fallen from cars squished flat like bugs and stacked like cards. There, the brave can find everything from a no parking sign to a fishing boat or, literally, the kitchen sink. Covered in dust from ball cap to boots, employee Bill Spurgeon points to a rusty twist of something with wheels, once. See that, he asks? "At one time it was useful for something. " People might soon be saying the same about the scrapyard.

FRIDAY — The Jessamine County Public Library will host family story time from 10:30-11 a.m. — The Wilmore Senior Community Center will host Walter Cronkite Remembers ... each Friday in May at 1 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. — The Jessamine County Senior Center will offer blood-pressure checks every third Friday of each month from 9:45-10:45 a.m. SATURDAY — The Jessamine County Farmers Market will open in the Wilmore City Hall parking lot Saturday at 8 a.m. — A free meal is provided by Manna Ministries each Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal is a restaurant-quality meal served at 303 W. Maple St. in the community center of Nicholasville United Methodist Church.

Saturday Jessamine County Antique Farm Equipment First Tractor Drive will be held May 19 at 10 a.m. The event will begin from Joe Peels' farm on Sulphur Well Road. The 15-mile ride takes about two hours. Food and drinks will be provided. Donations will be accepted, but are not mandatory. For more information, call 885-5101 or 885-9859. Golden Corral will hold a 50-cent carnival to benefit the Children's Miracle Network from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Golden Corral parking lot. The event will feature live music, kids' activities, face painting and inflatable games.
