Landon Roush Bulington, the son of Janet and Anthony Bulington of Liberty, was born Saturday, June 16 at the Fort Logan Hospital at 6:58 a.m. He weighed 7 pounds 8.5 ounces and measured 20 inches at birth. Maternal grandparents are Jack and Kit Sayers of Liberty. Paternal grandparents are Deb and Marvin Luttrell of Columbia. Great grandparents are Tilly and Charlie Edwards of Rensselaer, Ind., David and Anita Bulington of Benttendorf, Iowa, and the late Hiram and Exie Sayers of Liberty.

Ida Mae Herring Curtsinger, 73 of Junction City died Saturday, Oct.1 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. A native of Lawrenceburg, IN., she was born January 26, 1932 to the late Hiram and Nora Herring. She was a homemaker and the widow of William Homer Curtsinger. Survivors include two sons, William L. (Amanda) Curtsinger of Nicholasville and John D. (Janice) Curtsinger of Salvisa; one sister, Louise Davis of Harrodsburg; one granddaughter, Melinda M. Rankin of Danville; one great granddaughter, Amber Nichole Rankin; and several special friends, Carol Caldwell, Linda Gammon and Wanda Stratton.

Manfred “Peck” Olen Cross, 72, of Danville, died Thursday, June 14. Born Dec. 6, 1939, “Peck” was a son of the late Hiram and Thelma Hossler Cross.   He was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Cross; two brothers, Gus and Huell Cross; and a sister, Hilda Sutton.   Survivors include two sons, Greg (Malissa) Cross and Chris Cross; two daughters, Amy (Stephen) Phillips and Victoria Mullins; five brothers and sisters, Larry, Harlan and Rondall Cross and Barbara and Deborah Vaughn; four grandchildren; and his fiancé, Rose Beldon.

Clara Mullins, 86, widow of Elmer Mullins, passed away at 11:01 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011 at her home. A native of Morgan County, Clara was the daughter of the late Hiram and Rebecca Jane Davis Wagers and was a homemaker. Survivors include two sons, Tommy Mullins of Winchester and Bobby (Judy) Mullins of Beattyville- a granddaughter, Lora Kindrick Mullins Brock of Washington, D.C. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Clara was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Sue Keal; an infant son, Anthony Mullins; a grandson, Eric Keal; one brother; four sisters and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Lynn Mullins.

Modena Parrett Baker, widow of Odem Baker, of Nicholasville, formally of Berea, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6. Born in Arvel, Ky., Dec. 21, 1920 to the late Hiram and Lu Lakes Parrett, she was one of eight children. Baker was a retired employee of Berea College. She is survived by one son, William Ray and wife Lee S. of Nicholasville, two grandchildren Michael S. and wife Rachel Baker, of Medway, Mass., and Penny B. and husband Greg Baker, of Nicholasville, five great-grandchildren Aaron and Sydney Baker, of Medway, Mass.

LEXINGTON - Even after he hurt his knee his senior season and had to wait an extra semester to start his collegiate career, Trevard Lindley never quit believing that he could be a big-time player. "I was pretty confident my knee would be fine and that I could still play at a high level," said the University of Kentucky senior cornerback. "Other people in high school had torn their ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) and come back. I knew it would work out and I could get stronger.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Hiram Willard Campbell; one brother; and five sisters. Survivors include his wife, Anna B. Campbell of Danville; one daughter, Wanda Jeane (Alan) Thiele of San Antonio, TX.; and four grandchildren, Patricia and Landon Thiele and Jerry and Leigh Ann Campbell; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Hiram Willard Campbell, Chief Master Sergeant, Retired USAF, age 60 of Izmir, Turkey died June 4, 2005. A native of Lincoln Co., he was born June 30, 1944 to Hiram Campbell of Ottawa and the late Mildred Williams Lough. He was a 1962 graduate of Crab Orchard High School, served 4 years in the United States Navy - 1963-67, 26 years in the United States Air Force - 1967-93 and as Chief of Police and Senior Enlisted Advisor while stationed in Turkey. Upon retirement, he moved and settled in Izmir, Turkey.
