Since late 2006, a shell of a hotel has been seen from passing vehicles off U.S. 27 on the outskirts of the south side of Nicholasville. Not much has been done with it over the past six years, but that all changed last Friday. That was when Lloyd Abdoo with A&L Hospitality, LLC, signed documents that will bring an upscale hotel to Jessamine County this summer. The group is a franchisee for Marriott, Hilton, Holiday Inn, Best Western, Choice Hotels and Wyndham Hotel brands. The name of the hotel, which will be located at 100 All Star Way, has not been decided upon, but Abdoo said over the next month, that should resolve itself.
