Doris Sue Burch, 75, of Science Hill, died Sunday, Aug. 3, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill with Chaplain David Green officiating. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7 at Burch Cemetery in Sturgeon. Nancy Ellen Albright Thompson, 55, of Central Avenue, Lockland, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 14. A native of Woodstock, she was born July 27, 1952 to late Victor and Joanne Howard Albright. Survivors include her husband, Ronald Thompson; children, Sharon (Sam) Petry and Bruce (Shonda) Thompson; one brother, Lloyd (Patty) Albright; one sister, Vickie (Phil) Hall; grandchildren, Kierstyn, Briahna, Jessica, Kiele and Jordan; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held May 19 at Woodstock Cemetery with Bro. Anthony Brock officiating.

Keith Wayne Rice, 46, of Waynesburg, died Wednesday, March 8 in Stanford. A native of Muncie, IN., he was born Saturday, October 24, 1959 to Gene and Janice Clevenger Rice. Survivors include his parents, Gene and Janice Rice of Waynesburg; a brother, Monte Rice of Signal Mountain, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held Friday, March 10 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort. Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home of Waynesburg was in charge of the arrangements.

After a near-perfect life, Geraldine “Gigi” Sloan Comley, 85, formerly of 401 W. Maple St., died April 17, 2011, surrounded by her children. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Victor Comley; and grandson, Marine Lance Cpl. Chase J. Comley. She is survived by four adoring children, Laura, Missy Beattie, Mark and wife Angi, and Richard and wife Debbie; “adopted” daughter Erma Steppe; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hager & Cundiff is in charge of arrangements.

Stephen Hrncar, 81, husband of Margaret Mary Hrncar, of Bethel Road died May 19. Services will be scheduled with Schneider and Lloyd Funeral Home in Woodstock, Ill. Local services provided by Betts & West Funeral Home. Requiem Mass was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Catholic Church in Nicholasville, followed by a luncheon in the church hall. Almeda Duncan Hazlett, 77, of West Chester, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 22. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Hazlett; and sisters, Lois and Elizabeth. Survivors include her children, Kihm Hazlett, Rex Hazlett, Scott (Becky) Hazlett and Mark Hazlett; grandchildren, Lucas, Steven, Eric and Megan Hazlett; sisters, Pauline and Fay; and nieces and nephews. Marie Boner Blankenship, 82, widow of Jesse Blankenship, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 22. Born Nov. 14, 1924 in Jessamine County, she was the daughter of the late Alfred James Boner and Ola Watts Nave. She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Duke of Louisville and Jessica and husband, Michael, True of Shelbyville; one son, Jack, and wife, Barbara Sue, Blankenship of Nicholasville, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a special friend and relative Edna Dale Stotts. She was preceded in death by one sister, Faye Harvey, one brother, Glenn Nave and a brother-in-law, Woodrow Harvey.

Loren A. Austin, 85, of Wesley Drive, formerly of S. Third St. Nicholasville, died Friday, Aug. 22, at the St. Joseph Hospice Care Center. He was a native of Oxford, Kansas born June 19, 1923, to the late Frank R. and Lorena Huffman Austin. He was a veteran of the US Navy and had served during World War II during which time he received a Bronze Star medal and was a member of the Underwater Demolition Team No. 4. He was a retired employee of Asbury Seminary where he was manager of the maintenance department and a member of the Nicholasville United Methodist Church.

Frank Wilson, 84, was dispatched by Jesus for his final run on Friday, Dec. 19, 2008. He was born August 2, 1924 in Jessamine County to the late Claude "Taught" and Ozena Bradley Wilson. Frank was a retired truck driver, member of South Elkhorn Baptist Church, Teamsters Union 651 and was an Army Staff Sergeant serving in World War II. Beloved father of four children, Phil B. and wife, Kathy Wilson of Mt. Sterling, Linda C. and husband, Rusty Rodgers of High Bridge, Brenda G. Walker of Frankfort and Olena A. and wife, Sandy Redmon of Nonesuch.
