Nov. 27, 1987 Price and volume were down at the Winchester Tobacco Market Wednesday. A total of 376,010 pounds of tobacco were sold here Wednesday. Dawnita Johnson, Seal Beach, Calif., and Randy Jones, North Hollywood, Calif., spent the Thanksgiving holiday with their grandmother, Mrs.¿Pearl Jones, Kentucky Street, and other relatives here. Randy Johnson is assistant to the producer of “Hour Magazine,”¿a television network program. Thomas J. Stevenson was host for the November meeting of the Lamplighters Club at his home, 350 Boone Ave. The paper of the evening, “Economic Parallels - ¿The 1920s and 1980s” was presented by Don Ross.

STANFORD - The University of Kentucky Agriculture Extension Service and Produce Auction of Lincoln County will host a meeting to educate people interested in growing and selling fruits and vegetables. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at the Sportsman Club building on U.S. 150 at Cedar Creek Lake. Plans for this year's auction will be discussed, lunch will be served, and the meeting is open to anyone interested in commercial horticulture.
